On August 18, 2026, Keystone Recruitment and ADI Recruitment jointly participated as speakers at the “Thailand Business Networking Event” organized by JobCan, presenting a seminar on the theme of “Second Careers for Japanese Expatriates.”
For this seminar, we were pleased to welcome Mr. Takuya Nishioka, Managing Director of C Net (Thailand) Co., Ltd., as our guest speaker. Drawing on his own career experience, he shared valuable insights into second-career opportunities for Japanese professionals working in Thailand.
During the seminar, we discussed the career options available to Japanese expatriates after gaining professional experience in Thailand. From a recruitment perspective, we also shared insights into the current Thai job market, the experience and skills employers look for when hiring locally, and salary considerations when transitioning from an expatriate assignment to local employment.
Mr. Nishioka also shared his personal experience of transitioning from an expatriate position to local employment and subsequently advancing his career. He spoke about what led him to make the transition, the differences between expatriate and local employment, as well as the professional experience and qualifications that became strengths during his job search.
Hearing directly from someone who has experienced this career transition provided participants with a realistic perspective and, we hope, helped those considering their own future careers to better visualize the possibilities ahead.
